i don't know... call me malthusian if you want, and
i'm certainly not a primitivist... but it just seems
to me ridiculous to venture into such things.
interfering as little as possible with the rest of
nature seems to me to be the best way to go.

another problem of weather tech tho would be: how
would you deal with folks who don't want weather tech
interfering with their communitites and interactions
with the rest of the planet... since weather in one
place always effects weather in another, changing the
weather in one place would be forcing the change in
weather everywhere... effectively forcing folks who
don't want any part of it to take part in it. this is
surely "anti-communist"!

assuming that the destruction of capitalism and the
effective creation of a communist society is a
save-all is also quite dangerous. it merely the next
step. there is no utopia, no "end of history"... so
power issues will continue, etc. if you follow...
