AUT: Response to Mauro, jr. from "Commie00"

We don't basically disagree with "Commie00' about the key period in  mid
-1918 I think
when the Bolsheviks panicked I think by  the push of the
Counterrevolution/Imperialism to out-right
civil war to crush the Oct '17 revolution.
So then  the bolsheviks bogarted the worker/soldier  Councils / Soviets
and set up "The councils of Peoples
Comissars" tha gave the centralized authoryt to the Bolsheviks-directly --
considering   much of what
ensued neagtively  after this point, we can say that this was a huge error
of the bolsheviks -- and they
should have instead tried to strenghten the revolutionaries influence
through  inside the Councils /  soviets at all costs.
OK---

But "Commie00" is not dealing with the material reality and descends down
to idealism, metaphysics,
when  he avers that;
  "....... the reason no revolution came from the west because  the
inspiration of Russia
was dying and state capitalism was imposed on the Russian proletarait and
peasantry.
Russia did not need revolution in the west in order to survive, the
insurrection in russia would have had to be
successful for revolutions in the west to begin"

This cannot be squared with the reality of the mass strugglesof the times.

First of all in Germany and Austria and shortly afterward  Hungary , Italy
, Finland, etc attempts at  revolutions and near revolutions of the
insurrectionary  western soviets in these and other lands did develop in
1918-20, but they were put down pitilessly by reaction  and NOT  by lack of
revolutionary mood or of valor in  their class combats. They were destroyed
by the right-center and 'left' bourgeois reaction, in which social
democrats joined  with white guard like  foramtions like the 'freikorps' in
Germany , etc and smashed up the workers soviets in mass blood orgies.
This work was only made easier by the fact the Germany, Italy, Austrai ,
etc lacked the kind of Steeled Bolshevik
party organization that could have fought inside the soviets to expose the
deadly manuevers of the social democrats and their  rightist white guard
reactionary allies..

In fact these very insurrections in the west ,  were aborted  not by
western bolsheviks 'centralizers' , but  by both the power of reaction
itself--and the un-coordinated  helter-skelter type tactics that were used
in the western insurrections-- which had its base partly , a kind of 'each
soviet city for itself'--decentralization attitude.  That
stuff left many western soviets prey to being picked off and crushed one by
one.
