now this is elementary... sorry, but...

but the reason not to vote has always been terribly
obvious to me: voting perpetuates people relying on
institutionalized leaders and such. it also maintains
the illusion that the state is anything but the
collective will and voice of capitalism (as even negri
and hardt point out), and that it can be used for
good.

instead of this: it has always seemed obvious to me
that the real work is two-fold: 1) organizing
anti-hierarchical / anti-exchange (read: participatory
mutual aid) dual power structures here and now, that
prefigure, as much as possible, the world we want...
and thus exist in contradiction to capitalism / as an
attack on capitalism. & 2) organizing to defend these
structures & force an "expansion of the floor of the
cage", realizing that any "reforms" gained are
temporary and prolly won't be implimented, so that our
dual power organizing can expand. this can never be
accomplished thru voting since anything like this has
only come about thru us forcing them. period.

from here we can derive quite a lot else, prolly...
but i'll leave it...
