somewhere in the course of this discussion there was
some mention of the inter-related-ness of struggles...
been giving this a lot of thought lately.
there is a lot of debate over the question: is the
struggle against racism an aspect of class struggle...
or is saying this engaging in class reductionism?
to me it's not class reductionism for this reason: if
there is a group of working class people struggling
against the ruling class / against capital, for
whatever reason, then they are engaging in class
struggle.
this functions on the level of racism in that: when
dealing with racism it always comes back down to
capitalism, and the efforts of the ruling class to
divide us, etc. and so consistant struggles against
racism are class struggles, perhaps of a specific
variety...
uhg... this is not as clearly written as i'd like it
to be... but i hope it makes sense.
