AUT: Capitalism and disaster (Mexico/Africa)

One of the more striking moments of the collapse of capitalist Power and
the explosive emergence of power from below in the midst of disaster
occurred in the aftermath of the 1985 earthquake in Mexico. The social
earthquake the followed was part of the ferment out of which the
Zapatistas arose less than a decade later. See:
