Greetings everyone.  I recently joined the list and am finding it
interesting and useful.

Sean, you might also want to consider studying in Canada.  I'm doing my
masters at Carleton (in Ottawa) and dealing with the work of all the
theorists you mention.  While I am in the Journalism and Mass Communication
department (which might interest you, depending on the processes you will be
examining), there is also the Institute of Political Economy which has a
small but excellent program.
Also look into the Latin American Studies Program and School of
Communication at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.
While none of these departments have a uniform outlook, free thought is
still a possibility in all of them!

I'm looking for a political science department where I
can study people such as Gramsci, Toni Negri, Marx,
Foucault, the Frankfurt School, etc or a department
that takes a radical approach to the study of
developement, latin american politics, or political
economy... I wonder if anyone on the list knows
anything about somewhere i could study. I'm intersted
in New School, York University, and UC Santa Cruz, but
I haven't found anywhere else like these places. Maybe
I should be looking into philosophy or sociology
instead. Any help that I can get is appreciated.
