AUT: HELP on Social Factory and higher education struggles articles
- Subject: AUT: HELP on Social Factory and higher education struggles articles

I am currently working on an article "Alienation, class and enclosure in UK
universities", which I am hoping will be published in _Capital & Class_. In
the article I argue that in the UK, diverse research use-values are being
subordinated to homogeneous RAE-value [A British university dept's research
funding is now dependent upon its "score" in the four-yearly Research
Assessment Exercise (RAE)] and that academics are becoming alienated from
their work, with some being forced ot alienated their research-labour-power.
(I posted an earlier version to aut-op-sy a few months ago.)
I am looking for copies of the following articles:
George Caffentzis "Throwing away the ladder: the universities in the
crisis", _Zerowork_ no.1, 1975.
Mario Tronti "Social Capital", _Telos_ no.17, Fall 1973.
Modern Times "The Social Factory", _Falling Wall Review_ no.5, 1974.
Wages for Students (I think this is a pamphlet, published Amherst, 1974).
Can anyone help? Of course, I will pay any photocopying and postages costs.
Regards.
David Harive.
