I received the following a couple of days ago, but couldn't do anything
about it till yesterday.  It concerns a young anarchist in the North of
England whoi has been "sectioned" - which means put in a mental hospital
against his own will and subjected to drug therapy that he has not =
consented
to.

His case is being reviewed tomorrow - August 18th.  If you get this in =
time
and are able to send a fax to either of the numbers on the bottom of the
leaflet, the please do so.  He asks that you use the basic information =
in
his leaflet.  When I spoke to the receptionist at the Mental Health =
Review
Tribunal, she suggested sending the fax directly to the doctor - but if =
you
do, then don't forget to send a copy to the MHRT as well.  Hopefully,
despite the short time involved he will get some support.

FALSELY IMPRISONED BY CORRUPT DOCTORS

Greg Minus, a young left wing activist from the North East is being
imprisoned in a mental hospital, against his will, to discredit his
political beliefs and keep him out of politics. MRI Scans and CT Scans =
have
consistently found nothing wrong with him and staff and patients are at =
a
loss as to why he is being kept here.

Prior to his arrest and  sectioning in March 1998, he had been given =
sleep
depravation and had had the rules broken down on him, leaving him =
severely
confused and disorientated after he was arrested for Breach of she =
Peace' he
was severely assaulted in the police station and then sectioned and =
taken to
Winterton Hospital. He was not read his rights or given a Solicitor even
though lie had asked foe one. On arrival at Winterton four nurses =
grabbed
Greg and gave him and injection in the Glutimus Maxima which knocked him =
out
for approximately two days.


On his arrival at Winterton and subsequent transferral to the Pierremont
Unit of Darlington Memorial Hospital on Wintertons closure, his bad
treatment did not end there. Sexual abuse is rife in the mental system, =
the
abuse detailed in the inspection into Ashworth Hospital where an eight =
year
old girl was used as a toy for convicted paedophiles, is just the tip of =
the
iceberg. Patients and staff at the Pierremont Unit and Winterton are
allegedly sexually abusing patients in their sleep, rendering them
unconscious with drugs, making them unable to fight back or give =
reliable
witness evidence. Patients claiming to have been sexually abused are
consistently labelled as having paranoid delusions' by doctors, all keen =
to
protect paedophiles and discredit victims. This story is corroborated by
others.

Greg's behaviour so hospital has been catalogued by the staff. He does =
nor
hear voices, he does not self harm, his personal hygiene is good and he =
is
not violent. In fact the only evidence they have to substantiate their
claims that he has 'paranoid schizophrenia' is that he says he has been
imprisoned for his political beliefs! In his RMO report to the Mental =
Health
Review Tribunal Greg's doctor explains his lack of ill' behaviour by =
saying
'Whilst in hospital he improves well, but this is of course an =
artificial
situation and in no way proves that he is fir to he discharged or could =
cope
in the community." But far from wanting to rake Greg out of an =
'artificial
situation' his doctors want to put him in a Hostel that is staffed 24 =
hours
where he will be monitored all day and night, forced to take his =
medication
and not allowed to go on all night raves, holiday without the staff or =
even
on demonstrations without permission. His doctor plans to keep him on a
'Community Section' which means he will have little or no control over =
his
own life, matters being dictated by the doctors and Hostel staff. In =
Greg's
previous Hostel, staffed 9-5 weekdays, staff found "No evidence of =
threat to
other residents or staff" and "No evidence of illegal drag use" other =
than
some ecstasy testing kits illegally removed from his flat by his patron =
and
a small pipe, also removed illegally by his parents. Staff also said =
"Greg
has shown capability and skills to complete the following works: =
wash/iron
clothes, brd linen etc. prepare and cook food, wash op and clear away =
own
debris" adding "Greg has shown initiative by requesting support needed, =
for
example with Benefit Advice, Emotional! Practical support and =
budgeting." He
does not need to be in a Hostel that is staffed 24 boors.

The doctors are also trying to scapegoat Greg's use of soft drugs for
problems they have caused whilst at the same time making him take drugs =
of
their own. Greg has never had 'problematic' drug use, hr has never =
injected
or used 'hard' drugs (i.e. Heroin, Cocaine, Crack). He admits to using =
drugs
recreationally as they are part of his culture. He has never been =
addicted
to any drug. Greg is active in the campaign for legalisation. He says =
"Their
policy about drugs is more mental than I am, they're like - You have to =
have
drugs every day, you can have a little bit of those drugs, as much as =
you
want of those and none of those!" The side effects of his prescribed
medication include, nausea, stomach cramps, headaches, lowering of blood
pressure and lowering of white blood cells.

Greg has tried notifying numerous groups about his case to no avail. His
post has consistently been tampered with in a way that could have only =
been
carried our by the security services This is mirrored in the cases of =
many
miscarriages of justice.

Tribunal asking for Greg to be taken off his section and/or have his
medication reduced or stopped.
