AUT: RE: Italian debate

Hi,
an interesting - nevertheless italian - document to look at is to
be found
http://www.ecn.org/deriveapprodi/vetrina/documenti/imperia.html

It is signed "Laboratorio del Nord-Ovest" (north-eastern
workshop) and titled "Jam Session a Imperia". It is a document of
a workshop held by some italian social centers and associations
on 16-17 of july at Imperia, on the topics of social left,
organization, politics.
Below some passages followed by an english translation (very
rough i'm afraid) ...
thomas

"E' necessario piuttosto far irrompere sulla scena attori nuovi,
strani e imprevisti: il lavoro precario, i suoi usi e costumi, i
suoi desideri, la sua eventuale organizzazione (oggi
inimmagginabile).
...
postfordista, dai modelli politici e organizzativi oggi
prevalenti.
sociale complessivo."

("It is necessary to bring new, strange, unforeseen actors onto
the stage: precarious labor, its usage and customs, its desires
and its possible organization (today unimmaginable).
...
The seminar (workshop) at Imperia is engaged to produce in a
short arc of time written materials on various topics, from
guaranteed public income (reddito di cittadinanza?) to
immigration, coming across all the links/articulations that today
qualify our social intervention.
...
The seminar (workshop) at Imperia has fixed two apointments for
the autumn. One meeting at Turin, organized by PuntoZip, on
immigration. And one hazardous (?) meeting at Milan on the topic
of "education and university". Therefore it is not a mere station
but a rail.
And, for the moment, a signal. Signal for what? The moment has
come to resume the Exodus, after a period in which it turned
upside down. Exodus from compatibility with postfordist society,
from the today predominant political and organizational models.
Exodus towards a public sphere that really is public properly
and only because it is not any more state. Exodus towards a new
social register (calendario), or better towards a different
organization of the entire social time.")

BTW: for those who read german, a translation of the document
mentioned below is available under

Recently, Myk posted translations of 2 sections from a document
circulated
recently in Italy, entitled "Che te lo dico a fare?".

Responses to this document, still in Italian unfortunately, can
be found at
the web site of the Forte Prenestino social centre in Rome -
