Yes, the effect is one of freeing the author from any personal
responsibility for what is said, without the reader being aware of the
anonymity. But this is nothing new, surely? It has been going on for ages,
what's the big deal?

So what if you ARE the woman confronted by racist propaganda, how does that
make the example any more convincing?

When I carried out a similar multiple name project, it led to me being
investigated by the DSS, and raided by the Federal Police. The authorities
have little patience with this obscure branch of the sciences and no sense
of humour whatsoever.
