Yeah, you got him figured out ... sort of. Actually, he's much worse than
the garden variety Stalinist. He is, for instance, the one who called
*all* squatters "morons" !  He is also, btw, a persistent denigrator of
all anarchists (and anyone else who doesn't pass his dogmatic brand of
"orthodox Marxism"). Of late, he has been an ally of the Maoist Mark
Jones, best known for his statement that the _New Left Review"_ is a
"faggot-valhalla" (!) controlled by M16 !  When Proyect was in the SWP,
btw, he was a hatchet man for the majority leadership. In the most recent
period, he has crossed class lines to inform on the behavior of a union
member to management. The crime: disagreeing with him on an Internet
mailing list.
