Monty: getting money for child raising is one thing. (Remember, welfare
moms are mostly single). But getting govt money for cooking some man's
breakfast and tidying the living room? That might make me join one of
those anti-=tax militias! I think you romanticize domesticity too much.
(Even the children part -- there's a reason why so many "full-time
mothers" get depressed!) If staying home was so great, men would be
falling over themselves to marry female yuppies and spend the rest of
their lives doing their laundry.
ps., Were you the Monty Neill who had a good letter in the NYtimes a
week or so back about testing? if so, congrats.
