For anyone who had followed the election there can be little doubt that the
British ruling class knew which side Labour were on from the start. Even
the tory press were muted in their criticism of 'new'labour. They had
decided that a change was needed. Specifically, British capital needs a
different approach to the EU and probably a willingness to consider a
single currency. Labour offered these, the tories did not.
The size of the Labour majority is a sure sign that things are going to get
really heavy here. we can look forward to more austerity and greater
attacks on our living standards.
But, don't forget that Labour has always fulfilled that role.

Socialist Party, is available on our web site - it traces the origins of the
party up to the Kinnock years and details why they are the buch of scumbags
they are ..... (how's that for policitical anaylsis?)
