IMAGES OF LABOUR:

A Conference on Films and the Working Class in Britain 1957-1997

Friday, March 14th - 3.30 p.m. and Saturday, March 15th - 9.30 a.m.

To be held in the Graduate School, 3rd Floor, Williamson Building.

Speakers include:

Huw Beynon, Ken Fero, Tony Garnett, Edward George, Trevor Griffiths,
Sandra Hebron, Sally Hibbin, Marc Karlin, Murray Martin, Jacquetta
May, Sheila Rowbotham, Peter Stead, Sylvia Stevens,  Anne-Marie
Sweeney, Judith Williamson also Ford Halewood and Liverpool Docks and
more.

There will be video screenings and book and a video stall and visual
contributions by students from the Manchester Metropolitan
University.

The International Centre for Labour Studies in cooperation with the
Cornerhouse and Frontline Books are bringing film makers, writers,
actors, trade unionists and historians together at Manchester to look
at working class experience on film since 1957.
