I've always considered *most* modern American "unions" to be fraternal organizations, NOT "Unions"(big 'U'), and as such, the me-and-mine-first ethic leads to all kinds of treachery.


All one has to do is watch a Teamsters union truck drive through a construction union picket line to fathom the depths of decrepitude those organizations have fallen into. Even more so when the target, economic or military, is another country.

You won't hear too many Ford workers complain about building hydrogen powered drones to annihilate Iraqis, as long as those workers are getting paid well.

Divide... conquer... Business as usual.
