As you might have gathered in my response to Leigh, I'm a tech 
geek who didn't study the classics.  I am painfully aware of the 
severe education lack this respresents and have tried some to 
improve it.  My love of Thomas Moore's writing like "Care of the 
Soul" definitely piqued my interest in Greek mythology and makes 
it one of hundreds of other directions I want to pursue further 
and would take 20 lifetimes to even approach in any depth.  

So I am intrigued to learn more about what you mean here.  If you 
could paraphrase a little about how you see these two stories 
relating to my question about future directions we might take, I 
can then study these stories more to try to understand.  I have 
some books here and of course the internet that can help if you 
would be so kind as to point out the path to me a little more.
