The list of defeats holds no surprises for anyone who has experienced Sinn
Fein. ( Do you think those defeats should be reversed?). It doesn't mean
that the US doesn't "want every liberation movement in Southern Africa
severely weakened if not completely annihilated."
And "While Green Left Weekly defends the national sovereignty of Zimbabwe it
does not support Mugabe's corrupt and brutal dictatorship" means it supports
the overthrow of the Zimbabwean government, with the consequent inevitable
brutal imperialist dictatorship. -- J. D.
