I think it is not really a problem -- it is simply a condition more or
less characteristic of _all_ anti-war movements except under very
special conditions. Consider earlier anti-war efforts in the u.s. (other
than the '60s): Spanish-American War; WW1, Korea. The perception of
weakness in the current effort is grounded in false expectations. This
false perception needs to be corrected if we are to make the most of
what the present movement is, rather than focusing on making it what it
cannot be -- and never could have been.

In B/N we have more people actively involved in planning and organizing,
and on the whole larger demos than we ever achieved here during the
Vietnam War. It is important not to romanticize the '60s.
