Re: [A-List] Solar grand plan ?

Of all the various stages of denial, this is the third stage: Bargaining. Even if PVS systems were not reliant upon fossil based minerals needed (or able to synthesize them after they run out of recoverable reserves of them), even blanketing an area the size of Texas or Alaska would not be sufficient to seriously slow down the collapse of energy in particular across North America. This is not to say that pvs should not be used; they should be built, in very large quantities, as a means to powering hospitals and other essential services. However, hospital stays should also be free-- and we know what the southern half of Turtle Island has as a will to make this happen.

The energy regime that we have all known our entire lives is leaving us, like a dying family member. Let us not spend our time bemoaning and losing our heads over this fact, but instead work to figure out how to make things less bumpy on the way down, and that will mean the destruction of the system under we live. Sound pie in the sky? Nowhere near as much as a hydrogen fuel cell car is.

Energy input out put ratios are the only bottom line you should look to. There are no such things as free energy. Get over it, and get organizing a world that will be at least livable for our next generations. It's all we have left.
