To make a case for that argument, you'd have to explain what the Woodrow Wilson Center does.

Moreover, I'd also say that Iran's government, which must be vigilant

still ought not to let its legitimate vigilance become paranoid
overreaction, which is counter-productive for the purpose of national
defense.

It might do well to look at what Woodrow Wilson's accomplishments were, because the WW center's site isn't going to mention subrosa foreign policy affairs:

"He went to Paris in 1919 to create the League of Nations and shape
the Treaty of Versailles, with special attention on creating new
nations out of defunct empires, His contributions to this negotiations
set the stage for World War Two."

Regime change of 'failed states'... and the wars to create the regimes.

...and: "On the home front he began the first effective draft in 1917,
raised billions through Liberty loans, imposed an income tax, set up
the War Industries Board, promoted (Imperial American, de-globalized)
labor union growth, supervised agriculture and food production through
the Lever Act, took over control of the railroads, and suppressed
anti-war movements."

I agree on the second point, but the Iranians have far better intel
regarding threats to their territory and nation which I am not willing
to second-guess.

Haleh Esfandiari is a pawn in a geopolitical game that she IS aware
of... she just wasn't aware she was a pawn. Maybe she thought she was
a 'queen'.

As I said... I'm a dissonant, I hate that.
