One reason why oil-producing ME countries would regret a US withdrawal
would be Iraqi oil production, which would be quite profitable if the
price of oil were a mere fraction of what it is selling for now. Of
course, investment in Iraqi oil fields (mostly in the south) would
require that the country was no longer a war zone.

The most likely source of a ' break up' is not US withdrawal. Who
amongst the Resistance to this atrocious occupation has called for a
break up? No, the source of a break up would be the US occupation. See
the Biden plan, which even if he doesn't get to run for president as
the Democratic nominee, will get a lot of discussion amongst the
pro-war, pro-military elements of the Democratic Party.
