I do know if the mass media like what you cite  here gets to 'put it
all in perspective' for us, we will understand nor learn  nothing.

The early reports of the "shooter"  stated that he was believed to be a 
"Chinese National" - exact words, on Channel  Ten, and then was speculated to be 
part of a foreign student exchange.  

The shooting was no doubt a tragedy. Imagine if this troubled young man  was 
in fact a Chinese National, or worse, a North Korean foreign exchange  
student. 

I am getting a very strange read of folks feeling about the  death of more 
than 30 students. Maybe the Internet is slowly starting to change  ideas and the 
brutal death toil in Iraq is slowly bleeding through the censors.  

Strange days ahead.
