Also, demonization of the leader denomized the movement. Hitler was a
monster, ergo Fascism is monstrous.  Saddam is a monster, ergo
pan-Arabism is monstrous.  Mao was a monster, ergo, Chinese communism is
monstrous. It goes on and on. In this vein, I defended Mao, and Pol Pot,
not because they were flawless, but because their causes were just and
good.
