I just wrote a little piece about the stats on the question, suggesting that
really the significance of terrorism is vastly exaggerated. Vastly more
people die of, or are injured by, traffic accidents. It would be more
correct to say, I think, that the focus on terrorism is an astronomically
costly policy error on the part of people who think they can reshape world
morality after their own image.
