[A-List] accumulation/financialisation - a query

	From: "Patrick Bond"

No, I don't think so, because at stake is the understanding of the laws of
motion of *capital*, which Luxemburg attempted (not always successfully) in
1913, and which Hilferding made crucial errors on - partially corrected by
Grossmann - in 1910.

CB: I'm thinking that removal of the socialist countries and then
independence in so many colonies would impact the operation of those laws in
the imperialist countries. Didn't Luxemburg's theory place significant
importance on the imperialist countries' relationships with the colonial
nations ? If so , it would seem that a massive move to independence would
impact the whole dynamic. Russia had been a semi-colony for the big
imperialist countries too.

The world would be a lot different after 1917 and after 1945 than they were
in 1910 or 1913.
