Re: [A-List] How "scientific" is science?
Grok,
Yes, the idea that Africa is riddled with hiv is just a mask in my view
for the increase in poverty there in the last 20 years and the increase of
local diseases which are taking an increasingly high toll. The hiv theory
has devastated medical care in Africa. Now, if you have malaria or tb and
and a negative test they treat you for malaria or tb. But if you happen to
test positive then they say it is not worth treating the malaria or tb as
you are going to die anyway (even if that is 5, 10 or 20 years later) from
hiv so they wont treat for the malaria and tb. Further the propaganda for
hiv is so heavy that Africans are scared silly about a positive test as
once they have that no one will associate with that person any longer so
that marriages break up, people lose their jobs, people suffer more and
everything spirals downward. Most people I know in Africa now are scared
to even have such a test and refuse when offered.
And the emphasis placed in hiv is totally out of sync with its purported
results; that is death within an unkown timeframe ranging from 5 to 20
years or more. You can die from malaria in 6 hours, from tb in six months.
If they spent even a fraction of the hiv money on malaria and tb most of
the deaths from disease in Africa would not occur. But tb and malaria dont
get the grant money, the concern in the world press or the treatments.
Chris
