Re: [A-List] Why NATO bombed Serb TV

My apologies to maggie on "us" and "them". And of course the
circumstances aroun M. kidnapping won't be discussed as long as they
have the winning hand in this game.

However, I would like to know what are the opinions on the list as
regards my general comment, that EU liberals, social-democrats and
imperialists in general did not care too much about Yugoslavia and
Milosevic because the whole thing was the last scene in the drama
that had begun the fateful day when the Social Democrat legislators
voted the war credits in 1914. An European civil war of sorts was
under way, and it closed (for the time being, as Chávez said in 1992)
with a defeat for us in Yugoslavia.

The Yugoslav issue is also a good litmus test to decide whether a
Trotskyist is such because he or she believes that the Leninist
tradition is worth following and fights against Stalinism from
_within_ that Leninist tradition, or simply believes that the
Leninist tradition is worthless and is a Trotskyist because his or
her stomach is not strong enough to accept being termed an
imperialist.
