***My thinking is that the "Right" or the present administration has no
choice
but to be silent. From my readings on the matter, no one REALLY knows
since the data needed for a definitive answer is not available. (Although
the
study by Simmons is the best I've seen so far since he examined data on
a per well basis.)
Silence is the only alternative because there is no outlined solution at
hand.
If the administration confirmed Peak Oil without a solution handy, my
goodness,
people and the markets will go wild.
Maybe they are feeding the fact slowly to the public so as to mitigate any
reaction in the markets. I've met a number of people in NYC who still are
not
aware of the issue. ***

***When you get down to it, I have to agree with you. Just a year ago,
anyone
who wrote about Peak Oil was considered "fringe", even, lunatic. It is a
landmark that the NY Times published the article.***

***If there is such a thing as Right, Fox News is it. (I am not on the Right
either.)***
