[A-List] Peak oil angst hits the NYT

Here is an addendum:

I know for sure that I have no hope to covert Anne to communism (with a
small c) and she has no hope to convert me to libertarianism (with a small
l), although I do not think these two were substantionally different in
their origination.

Yet, both she and I are engineers of some kind, so, in the least, we have
something in common.

My question is this:

Can she and I do something together for a "better" world, if we have some
common denominator in our definitions of what a "better" world means?

For example, Anne:

1) is not a chauvinist (sexist, racist, nationalist, etc.)
2) is an anti-imperialist,
3) is willing to listen other views.

These are enough a common denominator for me. I do not care if she knows
about the Labor Theory of Value or not, not that I am an expert of that
theory either.

Is there anything Anne and I can do together?

Best,

Sabri
