Subject: [stopnato] US Flew 160 Spy Flights Over North Korea Last
Month: Pyongyang Associated Press August 1, 2005 N. Korea: U.S. planes flew 160 spy missions in July SEOUL, South Korea — American spy planes flew at least 160 missions over North Korea last month, the North’s official Korean Central News Agency said Monday. Citing a military source, KCNA said aircraft including RC-135 reconnaissance planes, EP-3 electronic surveillance planes and U-2 spy planes flew over areas of North Korea from “U.S. Air Force bases in South Korea and overseas.” North Korea regularly publishes such a tally. The U.S. military does not comment, although it acknowledges monitoring North Korean military activity. “The U.S. imperialists ... are watching for a chance to mount a military attack” against North Korea, KCNA said. The United States, which has a defense treaty with South Korea, has said it has no intention to attack the communist North. ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs YAHOO!
