Re: [A-List] Forthcoming book on Indian residential schools by Ward Churchill

I was given the honor of an advance reading of this over the holidays, and I
have to say it is one of the best books I received last year without question.

One technique that is used that is really effective in describing the
similarity of residential school abuse in every corner of Turtle Island is
the refusal to stop and make big differences of country/state doing the
torturing and annihilation. Bouncing fromn Florida to the Northwest
Territories with ease as if he were talking about the same place, because in
many ways he is, he gets to details without losing the point. Chapters are
strong in the detail, including testimony. No matter who you are and what
you think you know about the genocidal costs paid by residential school
survivors and non-survivors, you will still learn more than you already knew
by going through this book.

These are the real contributions being put out by Churchill now that are
what they want to silence. A must read, all around.
