Re: [A-List] Comment on a truthout.org/tompaine.com articlebyRayMcGovern

You are correct that evangelicals are ardent supporters of Israel, but no
more so than the US Jewish lobbies, who are - largely - secular.
(Ironically, Orthodox Jews are not necessarily supporters of Israel based on
their reading of the Torah.) The two groups support each other, and this is
why neoCONs are eager and frequent guests on Pat Robertson's broadcasts and
those of the Trinity Broadcast Network, which broadcasts more shows (and
news "specials") on Israel than they do on Christ, the Disciples and
Christ's message; whatever in the effort - as Gary North puts it - "to get
out of this life alive," I suppose. Additionally, to buttress your point
regarding the Christian Zionists, a portion of Israelis are themselves
becoming alarmed by the demands of the evangelicals which put any peace
settlement with the Palestinians out-of-bounds in favor of the creation of
the Biblical "Greater Israel" (to force Christ's return.) Some Israelis
would actually like to make peace with the Palestinians, that's why over
200,000 of them demonstrated for peace in Tel Aviv not so very long ago - an
event that went 99.9% unreported by US media. I say a pox on both the Neos
and the rapture crowd, the first so cyncial as to collaborate with deluded
people whose "magic formula" understanding of Christian redemption requires
the death of 2/3 of all Jews living in some future Eretz Israel, and the
latter for having turned the faith into a cheap paganism that requires a
rather significant human sacrifice(2/3 of the Jews in Israel, and all those
who will be sacrificed in the wars necessary for the creation of Greater
Israel, which conveniently dovetails into Fedgov's desire to dominate the
Middle East and its oil resources)!

But who said anything about the Protocols of the Elders of Zion? That's
like going from "idle" to 90 mph in a nanosecond. It serves no good purpose
to ignore the plethora of Jewish lobbies, their success, their funding, and
their objectives....any other ethnic group that so organized itself and
demanded successfully such universal support from US taxpayers would
certainly suffer intense scrutiny - the fact that Jewish organizations are
NOT closely examined as the lobbyists for their own interests at everyone
else's expense is the scandal. Not consistent? I beg your pardon, but -
please - show me the variations! The storyline was set long ago, and is
repeated ad nauseum. Not insistent? There is no more insistent group on
earth than Jews - it is both their strength, and their weakenss.

More interesting is the question of exactly who profits by the exploitation
of evangelicals and Jews.....Israel means nothing to the people who actually
run this country, including that false Christian Dubya, except as Fedgov's
"aircraft carrier" in the Middle East (and backdoor arms & dirty money
transfer point). The NEOs are just clever, energetic and parasitic
mouthpieces who will be discarded/sacrificed as soon as they are either no
longer useful to the true agenda. The evangelicals are easily exploited
rubes whose votes are much appreciated, but rarely honored. This
exploitation leads to endless suffering and much death for both Palestinians
and Israelis....to be intimidated into ignoring the role of Jewish lobbyists
while focusing solely on that of evangelicals will only serve to perpetuate
the misery and the dying of Jews, of Palestinians, of Iraqis and of other
Semites on Fedgov's "hit list," and of the young Americans on whose
shoulders all these vile and sinister ambitions will continue to fall.
