Re: [A-List] Melvin

Peter writes:

I realize that I
am but a lurker here on this list, but let me express my admiration for what
is expressed here and the minds behind that. Cannot we go forward? I have
some ideas, but from what posture do we start?

-----

The same as always, Peter:

The A-List: Reports, analysis, prognoses and actualities emphasising global
linkages; to address the fundamental economic, political, ideological,
ecological and war-peace dimensions of late capitalism.

Analysing events from a primarily Marxist perspective, we welcome open,
friendly and non-sectarian debate and analysis. We are especially focused on
the critique of what the list's founder, Mark Jones, called Exterminism: the
Highest Stage of Imperialism.

And your ideas are as welcome as anyone's.

Best,

Michael

ps Many thanks to Jim Craven for a typically considerate contribution.
Whatever imperfections he may possess they are compensated for mightily in
terms of his integrity. I suppose that it is a measure of how valuable this
list has become to its subscribers that an occasion like this provokes so
much sadness, therefore we must be doing something right. However I would
gladly welcome back Melvin and have Henry resume posting and have Macdonald
back all subject to the same, simple guidelines that enable this list to be
what it has been. For now let us get on with the business at hand, and see
if we cannot tempt back those who, for whatever reason, are temporarily
(hopefully) absent.
