We often benefit from certain overlaps we share with other mailing lists, including especially Marxmail. The downside of this is that sometimes we also suffer from the continuation of disputes begun elsewhere, which spill over and threaten to derail discussion. There is no need for this. Whatever the passions we have concerning our politics, we are among friends, whether we realise it or not.
just to clarify (if needed) my complaint wasn't with your posting, michael. anyway, my apologies if this seemed to be a carry-over from other lists. i suppose i could be better at doing my part to maintain the atmosphere you envision.
