Bush's defense of the prisoner abuse scandal is that the US is morally
superior because, unlike other unnamed countries in the Middle East, the
US at least condemns such atrocities. Notwithstanding that Bush and
Rumsfeld have been calling oponents in war "killers and thugs", thus
setting up a systemic culture to treat war and political prisoners as
sub-humans, Bush's way to win over the hearts of mind of the Arab world
is to set the US up as a superior morality even after having been caught
red heanded with barbaric acts.  Bush is bin Laden's best assistant.
