US admiral to visit Ukrainian navy base in Sevastopol


-A delegation of the U.S. Marine command in Europe
visited the Crimea in late April to discuss Ukrainian
marine training organisation and joint training plans
and see the state of training grounds.



SEVASTOPOL - The U.S. Sixth Fleet commander arrives in
Sevastopol on Tuesday to discuss with Ukrainian Navy
Commander in Chief Rear Admiral Igor Knyaz prospects
for cooperation, the Ukrainian Navy press centre told
Itar-Tass.

The U.S. coast guard ship Tampa will also stay in
Sevastopol from May 4-6.

The crew will conduct show exercises that will be
attended by Ukrainian top naval officials.
