1) More than 1000 dare to support resistance demo
Despite heavy attacks from the Italian ruling class ? both the governing Berlusconi and well as the centre left coalition languishing to seize governmental office ? the anti-imperialist mobilisation acquires momentum. Already thousand people including left militants, intellectuals and artists have endorsed the call preparing what could result in an outright political earthquake rocking the imperialist establishment. While the bi-partite forces of right and left are wooing the US sending troops to Iraq and offering further support to the occupation, the big majority of the Italian people oppose the occupation and even show sympathy for the resistance. As nobody else dares to give voice to the widespread anti-American sentiments, the demonstration scheduled for December 13 in Rome could become the decisive point of crystallisation of an antagonistic anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist opposition also against a future centre left government.
In the war against Yugoslavia the centre left has already displayed its slavish subordination to the US warmongers. As the promoting committee keeps pointing at this fact the ?left? is viciously attacking the demonstration spilling its venom of all kinds of slanders.
The Italian anti globalisation movement is at a turning point, in front of a acid test. The right wing wants to embark on a left liberal ticket into parliament while the left wing is challenged to move on to a genuinely anti-imperialist position to bring down the pillar of global capitalism that is US imperialism and its European collaborators.
Simultaneously thousand and thousands of Italian Muslims are expected to take to the street to combine their defence of their Iraqi brothers and sisters with the struggle for their democratic right and dignity against the chauvinist witch hunt conducted by the Berlusconi government and orchestrated by left liberalism.

5) ?We Iraqi communists participate in the resistance without the reactionary party leaders?
Interview with Ahmed Karim, leader of the Patriotic opposition of the Iraqi Communist Party
Question: Do you think that the ?Governing Council? will succeed in stabilising the situation to a point that the US can hand over power to a puppet regime?
A. Karim: No, the council became a part of the problem, not its solution. The US army has to protect them, to feed them, to pay them and they start asking themselves about returning back home. The council has lost even the slightest trace of credibility within the popular masses if it ever might have had one. This is being reflected in the fact that some elements of the Iraqi forces that supported the US and were organised by them in the London alliance now oppose the council. That does by no means indicate a change of their treacherous role but by that move they try to increase their weight in front of their masters.
Question: How do you comment the participation of the Iraqi Communist Party in the US governing council?
A. Karim: This is the worst thing I could ever imagine. Before this incredible treason the party leadership was already moribund with its implicit support for the genocidal embargo and the military aggression. But now they are completely burned, dead. Any communist worth this name must be in the first line of the resistance, with the masses. Anybody who serves the occupation is an enemy of the people who only deserves to be fought against.

6) Join Mumbai Resistance 2004 against Imperialist Globalisation and War
Invitation to join as a Participating Organisation of Mumbai Resistance 2004 ? Against Imperialist Globalisation and War (MR-2004).
MR-2004 is a four day international event, scheduled for January 17-20, 2004. It is independent of and will run parallel to the World Social Forum (WSF), Mumbai.
It is part of the process of building a strong worldwide anti-imperialist movement going beyond the limits of WSF towards organised resistance in continuation of the militant traditions of the recent anti-globalisation and anti-war movements.
MR-2004 has a clear and unambiguous anti-imperialist focus and seeks to unite those who are genuinely opposed to imperialist globalisation and wars of aggression. Through sharing experiences and analysing imperialist strategies, it aims at developing a perspective that will unite all struggling forces, irrespective of the forms of struggle they may choose, and take the movement forward to confront and ultimately defeat imperialism.

7) Nov 8: The Hague demo to free Slobodan Milosevic
By the terror and tyranny they try to prevent, or at least minimize, the obvious fiasco of the false tribunal, which is serving as the weapon of war against our country and our people. Nothing new! As Montesquieu wrote in 1742: ?There is no crueler tyranny than one perpetrated under the shield of law, and in the name of justice.?
Slobodan Milosevic, 17 August 2003

8) Professor J set free preliminary
Jaime Yovanovic Prieto is a Chilean anti-fascist who fought against the Pinochet dictatorship. He has been moving from one exile to another for a quarter of a century. Two times he was participating at the Anti-imperialist Camp in Assisi, Italy. At both occasions he was arrested by the police and deported to the county he proceeded from. While the Chilean military justice still insisted on a warrant, none of the exile countries excepted to extradite him. However, they neither granted him elementary political rights let alone employment. Finally Professor J decided to surrender himself to the Chilean authorities intending to turn his case into a political one unmasking the dirty deal between the military junta and the social democracy safeguarding Chilean capitalism. Also thanks to the international solidarity campaign he was conditionally released from military custody. But our solidarity must continue!
