Re: [A-List] US Imperialism: Iran
I can't really address Mr. Chirac's policies fairly due to ignorance, but I
can say for Mr. Bush that his super-federalized, wasteful education bill,
the vote-buying "drug" benefit for over-medicated seniors, the attempt to
perfume the welfare state with ludicrous "faith-based" initiatives, much
less the skyrocketing deficit (sans Iraqi war expenses!) are very much the
sort of policies and spending usually associated with the DNC - which is one
reason the little numbskull initially succeeded with the Congress. Other
Bush policies rightly offend just about all citizens no matter their
politics - it's too lengthy a list to review here, and some of them could be
argued as to whether or not they are "leftist" or "conservative". I'm
satisfied with just labelling them "wrong," or "lunatic," or
"delusional." -A.
