"Old saying" is something I would define as "a locally-coined expression in
long term useage," but then I'm not
a professional linguist!  BTW, "fee simple" is a form of
property title.  I apologize as I really shouldn't have posted that to you
as it's indecipherable outside of the American context. But maybe other
A-Listers will appreciate the local humor.  -A.
