Sure Mulford likes the debt/equity swap - this man, under secretary of the
treasury (Brady was T secretary under Bush 1), played a large role in the
looting of Russia for CSFB, and in the establishment of the EBRD - a special
vehicle designed to employ the unemployed London bankers who were milling
about after the 1987 "hiccup" in the financial markets under the guise of
assisting Eastern Europe and the FSU. BTW, Muldord has deep, very deep
Saudi connections and relationships. How unsurprising to see he's up to his
old tricks, and the FT has rolled out a platform for him. -A.
