Re: [A-List] Death of a Great Warrior
Hey Jim.
As a tribute to Mark, and in keeping with that note of his I have now taken
public, I extend my warmest greetings to you, and would like to say that
everything you wrote about Mark is among the best of what I have seen.
I have cried so many times the last few weeks, but never for a person of
such high value and personal esteem. Stan was speaking for me as well when
he spoke of Mark as the great mentor. I was talking with my partner, another
Welsh Jones in fact, about why I was so messed about this. We quickly got
into how my own analysis of the world had changed, and indeed I was stunned
to realise, even several hours after I learned of this tragedy, just how
deeply his thoughts and teachings had crept into every inch of my current
analysis of all the world, most notably his "oilism" theses. Everytime I get
the chance to rant about the current dynamic of world oil production, I use
Mark's arguements. In that, Mark lives on all over the continent (if anyone
cares what I say). He would have made a truly great Blackfoot indeed. In
fact, as you say, he already was.
