Not being familiar with the personalities and squabbles of this corner of
the
left, I can't really comment on liberal red-baiting, other than to say it's
a shame
since the RCP is at least active and - by the rhetoric in this retort -
doing
important work.  I hope they are sincere.  Back when the Clintonites were
slipping NATO enlargement through with almost no debate, I contacted Ramsey
Clark's group to suggest to them that since there were many on the right who
agreed with them on enlargement (including the perfectly awful Frank
Gafney!),
possibly there could be some fruitful collaboration. Sadly, I got a "we
don't need
your sort around here" message.  It was all quite dispiriting.  -A.
