[A-List] Regime change in Canada

I thought A-listers might like a bit of background on how Canada is being
affected by the New World Order.

Jean Chretien, winner of two large majorities in the 90's, who would win a
third tomorrow according to the polls, is being driven from office.
Chretien, called "Dino" as in dinosaur by Bushs' aides, is from the old
school in Canadian bourgeois politics.
This Liberal school, of which Pierre Trudeau is the most obvious example,
has been the governing party since the war, with two brief interruptions.
Their strategy was based on the welfare-state
model domestically, outflanking the Canadian social democrats of the NDP.
In foreign affairs, Liberal PMs have always understood the fact that most
Canadians fear the power of the United States, and enjoy seeing their
leaders defy it in some way (as long as it doesn't endanger exports).

Chretien still represents what is left (not much) of both these bourgeois
liberal strategies.
He's been dragging his feet on big military spending increases, he visibly
lacks enthusiasm for the conquest of Iraq, he's pushing Kyoto, and has just
sponsored a Royal Commission which has called for re-funding Medicare.
This is why he has to go.

No Chavez, certainly;
but not the man , or the tendency to please the New World Order, or its many
friends in our ruling circles.

This is no call for sympathy or personal support for Jean Chretien.
But his ouster will mark the end of the domination of Canadian Parliamentary
politics by these old-school Liberals.
Think of it as sub-Imperialist regime change.
