Pretty fundamental stuff, I'd say.
Takes all the messy uncertainty out of bourgeois democracy .....

A shift of about 40,000 votes in five states
using touch-screen voting, on machines supplied by major corporations allied
to the Republican Party produced a "ringing mandate" for the
Bush-Rumsfeld-Cheney Junta. Right.
The practical equivalent here in Canada, or in the UK, would be clearing the
scrutineers out of the hall before the ballot boxes are opened.

The list of things that "they wouldn't do", or "couldn't get away with"
seems to be getting out of hand.
And Sen. Wellstone? The always-reliable plane crash?
"Kill one to terrorize ten thousand"
(surely, they wouldn't!)

Of course not. No. It would "come out".

Those who employ this device for re-assurance should address the mechanics
of
how such news would come out in a media
so supine that even Walter Cronkite, who never made an anti-capitalist
comment in his life, is appalled by it.

Adi would be impressed.
The Lie gets bigger, and thus more secure, with each day that passes.
