No, I wasn't. I was aiming at those who are in the First World, picking and
choosing which challenges to imperialism they like and which don't measure up to
their standards. I cannot abide that. I think those who take shots at Mugabe,
while sitting in the hotbed of imperialism (in this case, especially in
England), are a bit much, to say the least. Those are (often, not always) the
armchair types.

Pat Bond and I have a different set of priorities. He's on the ground there, and
that means I approve of all his information. His conclusions- that the abuses of
Mugabe are enough to justify support for the MDC (a question: are the MDC led by
many Matabele? More than a proper proportion? That would mean a lot to me to
find out.)-- I couldn't disagree with more, given the MDC is in league with
imperialism. I don't believe approaching *anything* in league with imperialism,
if the "other" side is a non imperialist (government or not).

Dogma it has been called, but I hold it as a principle, inviolable, and always a
further infection when not. You cannot advance socialism by solidifying
imperialism (or, for that matter, GMO dominance).

Macdonald
