[A-List] Re: Turkey: Robert Fisk analysis
As I told you people before I am short of time in these days so I
will have to be brief but Fisk's knowledge of the history and
realities of Turkey doesn't sound very strong. It is highly
likely that AKP is a US creation. I don't have any concrete
evidence of this but many noisy signals I keep getting and then
using to update my beliefs in a Bayesian fashion point that way.
In particular, this statement of his is seriously off the wall:
> Now Turkey has produced another "wrong" result as it
> practises the democracy so touted by the Americans.
I have great respect for Fisk but as you all know, knowledge is
not handed down by God and I think it is good practice to be
careful about making strong statements about things that you
don't know well.
