Re: [A-List] Playing chicken, huh?
Néstor writes:
The whole spirit behind the FT piece is completely
revealing that they are
beginning to realize what will happen within a few years, not only in
Argentina but elsewhere in Latin America.
They will be sent off the road, probably to the abyss, by an
increasingly fierce driver on the competing car.

Thank you Néstor for taking time to respond to that. I try to forward
relevant material on Latin America to the list because, in the international
hullaballoo surrounding the "war on terror" etc., this crucial arena is
being forgotten, precisely at the point when it is poised to make a
significant turn leftward. I hope that you, Jorge, Julio and others will
continue to keep us advised on events as they are happening, and help us to
see through the sort of reports we find in the Financial Times et al. As you
say, these reports tell us a lot about the state of mind of their authors
and sponsors.
Best,
Michael
