I think this is a very important development and would appreciate, if at all
possible, an English translation of at least the gist of the forwarded
article. Having seen Spanish media treatment of Chavez, for example, and
having read bits and pieces from the Financial Times that make it abundantly
clear just how up to its neck the Spanish state is in Latin America, this is
an arena we should be watching closely. More generally, what is happening in
Latin America is something that we ignore at our peril, and I would
encourage our comrades there and elsewhere who are monitoring the situation
to forward all relevant materials regardless of language to the list.
