Isn't this also true of the US?

The thrust of what follows is that Taiwan isn't yet part of China. Well, OK.
That's how it is now. How will it be in a decade or two? That's the whole
question. If the US is unable to sustain the US-centric world market and if
dollar and US military hegemony cames under strain, then Taiwan will fall,
no?
