Re: [A-List] US imperialism: war on drugs in retreat?
This "retreat on the war on drugs" is a name-change only. The primary
focus of that war was Colombia, where it was a thin cover story for an El
Salvador-like counter-insurgency campaign... which has actually been
escalated, now as the War on Terror. Uribe is now playing D'Abuisson to
Pastrana's Duarte... except this "D'Abuisson" is now the President, and
Colombia is now truly a Terrorist State.
"We see the unhistorical and ahistorical character of bourgeois thought
most strikingly when we consider the problem of the present as a historical
problem."
